I hate running. There, I said it. I have a love/hate relationship with it. Half of me wants to love it and is super motivated to work towards beating my personal record while the other half of me can’t stand it and has zero motivation to make it a priority in my workout routine. It’s a tough battle sometimes. But having a great playlist helps me a ton.

I’m very motivated by music and it plays a huge role in my mood for the day as well. If I have a good, motivational playlist then I’m much more likely to get off my butt and go for a nice jog. Same goes for anything else in my life. I’m more motivated to clean the house or work on my blog or whatever else I’m wanting to get done.

Now that I’m back at the gym, I spent some time getting my workout playlist cleaned up and updated to motivate myself to get back. So here are eight of my favorite songs on my workout playlist that get me pumped up for my workouts.

I can’t run for long periods of time because of my knee replacement, but when I am working out in the gym and need some kick-a music, I tend to turn on 30 Seconds to Mars or 21 Pilots. They both have songs that get me in that “I’m going to show the world that I’m a BOSS!” mood
