A couple weeks ago, I shared my ‘going gray’ story. To recap this story, I started getting gray hairs as a young teenager. And not just gray hair, silver hair. It’s crazy! I’m now twenty-four years old and have to dye my hair once every couple months in order to keep my hair looking happy and healthy. It can be super expensive and time consuming to set aside time for dying my hair which is why I decided to try out the Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Deeper™ line by John Frieda. This system comes with three great products: the Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Deeper™ Colour Deepening Shampoo, Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Deeper™ Colour Deepening Conditioner, and of course the actual Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Deeper™ Colour Deepening Treatment.
I was most excited about the fact that this is an in-shower system. I don’t have to go to a salon and spend an arm and a leg or spend fifteen minutes applying the color at home and waiting for it to set in. Instead, all I have to do is apply the product in the shower and wash it out with the Visibly Deeper™ Shampoo and the Visibly Deeper™ Conditioner. It fits in with my everyday routine without the added stress which is part of what makes this system perfect!
All three of these amazing products can be found in the hair care aisle of your local Walmart. Many locations will have the display at the end of the hair care aisle, but if your location does not have this display then the products can be found in the aisle itself. Not all Walmart locations will have the Visibly Deeper™ Treatment, but it can be purchased online on the Walmart website!
Now that my hair is back to looking happy and healthy, I feel more comfortable doing things with my hair. As someone who is constantly on the go, I don’t always have time to style my hair in the mornings. Because of this, I’m always on the lookout for quick and easy hair do’s that I can try to change up my look.
Messy bun. My go to hair style when I don’t have the time to do my hair is the messy bun. I’m super picky about my messy bun. I’m too much of a perfectionist to just throw it up and call it good. I also have the issue of it not being loose or messy enough. So in order to accomplish the perfect messy bun, I flip my hair over and throw my hair into the bun while upside down. You can secure your bun with either a hair elastic or bobby pins. Whichever works best for you! I feel that mine typically looks better when I pin it with bobby pins, but sometimes I just don’t have any near me. The key to getting it just right is to not care. It’s supposed to be messy so there’s no right or wrong way to do it. I also like to loosen a bit more if needed and pull out a few loose strands from the front.
Twisted halo. I first saw this idea on Pinterest and fell in love with it. It’s super quick and easy to do and although it’s pretty simple, it’s also super cute and unique. In order to create this look, take a small section of hair on one side of your head and loosely twist it a few times and secure to the back of your head with a couple bobby pins. Do the same with the opposite side, tuck it behind the first twisted section, and secure it with your bobby pins. Voila! A cute and simple hair do that anyone can do.
Easy chignon. This is another one that I found on Pinterest awhile back. If you can’t tell, I love hair do’s that are quick and easy which is perfect for those of us who are constantly on the go and don’t have the time it takes to put together a complete look. This one is super simple! You start off with your typical low ponytail. From there, you take the ponytail and flip it inside out. To do this, part the ponytail in half (above the hair elastic) and loop the bottom half of the ponytail down through it. This alone is a super cute look that I used to do all the time back in high school. To complete the look, tuck the rest of the ponytail into the top and secure with bobby pins.
