It’s almost summertime which means it’s time to settle into relaxation mode…or as much as I can with a newborn! I fully plan to get back to reading this summer and am beyond excited about it. I make it a goal every single month and it just never happens due to whatever it is that comes up that month. It legitimately makes me sad because I love curling up by the pool or on the beach with a good book. So this summer I’m determined to make it happen and am super excited to check out these ten books!
Anyone else here a huge Sarah Dessen fan? I swear she’s all I read throughout high school (with the exception of Nicholas Sparks). But once life got hectic, I completely got sidetracked and never even noticed that she was releasing a new book this month. Once and For All will be out tomorrow so be sure to check it out!
I saw The Sunshine Sisters by Jane Green on so many summer reading lists for this summer and after reading the description, I knew I had to add it to my list as well.
If you loved Girl on the Train (which I did), then you should also love Into The Water by Paula Hawkins. It’s supposed to be a psychological thriller full of suspense and mystery so if that sounds like something you’re interested in, then you’re bound to love this one.
I bought Leaving Time by Jodi Picot forever ago and still have yet to actually read it. The other day, I finally picked it up again and am determined to read it all the way through.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks so I was very quick to pick up Two by Two when it came out. I may have even ordered it before it was even released, but I don’t remember. But I started it instantly, loved it, but never got a chance to finish it. So I’m excited to pick it back up.
I also saw Same Beach, Next Year by Dorothea Benton Frank on a few summer reading lists so I was quick to add it to my own as well.
The Summer House by Hannah McKinnon sounds like it would be just up my ally. It’s a book about a family coming together from all their different walks of life to spend a summer together at their family beach house. I love a good book on family so I’m excited to get started on this one.
I’m not sure what it was, but the description of The Whole Thing Together by Ann Brashares instantly drew me in. Similar to the summer house, this is another great book about family.
A lot of people have recommended The Identicals by Elin Hildebrand to me, but honestly I’m not 100% sure if I’ll love it. But I promised to give it a chance!
The last book on my summer reading list is The Lake Effect by Erin McCahan. Again, it was a recommendation from a friend so I’m not sure if I’ll like it or not. But I’ll be sure to report back!
What are you reading this summer?
